But at what cost? by Deathfeather

Format: Commander

Commander: Yurlok of Scorch Thrash

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck leverages Yurlok of Scorch Thrash to weaponize mana burn against opponents through symmetrical mana doublers and restrictive stax pieces. The main plan floods the table with excess mana using Mana Flare, Heartbeat of Spring, and Dictate of Karametra, while taxing tapped or untapped lands via Citadel of Pain, War's Toll, and Mana Web. Opponents take severe life loss from unspent mana or stax triggers. The deck closes games either by creating infinite mana loops with untappers like Umbral Mantle, Sword of the Paruns, or Staff of Domination on Yurlok to burn out the table, or by channeling massive mana into lethal Torment of Hailfire, Crackle with Power, or Exsanguinate.
