Deck overview

This deck is an Esper lifegain, control, and combo strategy built around Oloro, Ageless Ascetic. By leaving Oloro in the command zone, the deck gains two life on every upkeep starting on Turn 2, effortlessly building a high life cushion. It leverages this surplus to break parity on cards like Toxic Deluge and Cosmos Elixir while stalling opponents with Propaganda, Ghostly Prison, and Authority of the Consuls. The deck converts this defensive shell into victory through multiple paths: sudden upkeep wins via Felidar Sovereign and Test of Endurance, huge burst damage using Beacon of Immortality combined with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Vizkopa Guildmage, and an infinite draw-drain loop with Queza, Augur of Agonies and Drogskol Reaver. Supported by efficient Esper removal and counterspells, the deck controls the tempo of the table before executing a protected finish.
