Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Izzet spellslinger and Otter-tribal synergy deck commanded by Alania, Divergent Storm. The primary strategy focuses on deploying early mana acceleration and cost reducers to cast Alania or a key engine piece by Turn 4–5. Once established, the deck leverages Alania's ability to copy the first instant, sorcery, or Otter spell cast each turn, granting an opponent a single card draw in exchange for doubling its own spell velocity. The deck transitions into a game-ending state around Turn 6 by casting high-yield rituals like Jeska's Will or Brass's Bounty, chaining cantrips into exponential token generation via Stormsplitter, or closing immediately with a doubled Crackle with Power or Jaya's Immolating Inferno. Additionally, the deck contains a compact infinite combo in Twinflame and Naru Meha, Master Wizard. Backed by premium interaction and free protection, the deck reliably navigates opposing removal to eliminate all three opponents on Turn 7.
