Format: Commander

Commander: Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls is the only commander; the deck has no double-faced commander or hidden commander, so the strategy centers on his draw-and-pump trigger. The game plan is to make every opponent lose life during their own turn, usually with Kederekt Parasite, Spiteful Visions, or Mogis, turning those triggers into cards and +1/+1 counters, then close with flying commander damage. Secondary paths are dragon beatdown with Scourge of the Throne, extra combats, and attrition payoffs such as Kaervek the Merciless, The Lord of Pain, and Syr Konrad. There are no infinite combos; this is a midrange attrition deck that wins by incremental damage and a growing commander.
