Phoenix King Ozai (avatar only) by dexterdy

Format: Commander

Commander: Ozai, the Phoenix King

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Ozai, the Phoenix King provides a unique mana-storage engine, converting unspent mana into red that persists across turns. The deck uses firebending (attack-triggered red mana) from the commander and other creatures to accumulate large amounts of mana, then deploys massive X spells like Crackle with Power and Torment of Hailfire to drain the table. Secondary plans include commander damage from Ozai himself (enhanced by his flying/indestructible conditional state) and value from sacrifice synergies and reanimation. The deck lacks fast ramp and reliable tutors, making it a slow, linear midrange strategy that can be disrupted.
