Deck overview

This mono-black Zombie tribal deck is commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa, focusing on sacrifice synergies, token swarms, and aristocrat life drain. In the early turns, the deck deploys ramp artifacts and cheap Zombie utility creatures such as Cryptbreaker, Champion of the Perished, and Undead Augur. By turn 5, Gisa enters the battlefield alongside tribal lords like Death Baron, Lord of the Undead, and Undead Warchief. On turn 6, Gisa activates her ability to convert large creatures into hordes of 2/2 Zombie tokens, triggering drain engines such as Ayara, First of Locthwain, Blood Artist, and Vengeful Dead. High-impact threats like Grave Titan, Army of the Damned, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel deliver massive life-swing bursts that eliminate opponents through combat and non-combat life loss by turn 8. While the deck possesses resilient graveyard recursion, its reliance on Gisa surviving summoning sickness and its limited protection against board wipes represent clear points of vulnerability.
