Deck overview

This Selesnya Midrange deck is led by Lae'zel, Vlaakith's Champion partnered with Master Chef. The strategy focuses on aggressive creature scaling through +1/+1 counters. With both commanders in play, every creature enters the battlefield with two additional +1/+1 counters. The deck leverages high-synergy ramp pieces like Gyre Sage, Kami of Whispered Hopes, and Fanatic of Rhonas to cast massive threats ahead of curve. Evasion enablers such as Kodama of the West Tree, Garruk's Uprising, and Crowned Ceratok ensure that huge creatures push lethal damage through opposing blockers. While the deck possesses explosive mid-game damage and an incidental infinite loop between Enduring Scalelord and Wildwood Scourge, it lacks nonland tutors, runs minimal reactive interaction, and remains vulnerable to board wipes across multiple combat cycles.
