Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck helmed by Rootha, Mastering the Moment focuses on casting instants/sorceries to generate massive flying/haste Elemental tokens, then chaining extra combats to overrun opponents. The commander's combat-triggered token scales with the greatest mana value among instants/sorceries cast that turn, and the deck packs cost reducers, copy effects, and extra-combat spells to accelerate and multiply the threat. Winning revolves entirely around combat damage - there are no infinite combos - but a dense interaction suite of counterspells and removal buys time and protects the board. Secondary payoffs like Port Razer, Full Throttle, and City on Fire turn a wide token swarm into a fast, triple-damage kill.
