Snakeing my NUTZ in Yo mouth by Cheesyrooster

Format: Commander

Commander: Xyris, the Writhing Storm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

A Temur wheels-and-tokens deck built around Xyris, the Writhing Storm. The primary plan is to force opponents to draw extra cards with Howling Mine, Anvil of Bogardan, and wheel spells, converting every non-draw-step draw into a 1/1 Snake. Xyris itself acts as both a card-draw engine and a core token generator when it attacks. The deck wins by amassing a huge Snake army and pumping it with Craterhoof Behemoth, Overwhelming Stampede, or Beastmaster Ascension, or by draining the table with Purphoros, God of the Forge and similar enter-the-battlefield pings. Token doublers like Doubling Season and Parallel Lives make a single wheel lethal. A mix of counterspells and protection spells keeps Xyris and the key pieces alive.
