Deck overview

This is a Rakdos group-slug deck helmed by Mogis, God of Slaughter, built to punish every game action opponents take and then multiply that pain into a kill. The core engine is a dense suite of pain enchantments - Manabarbs, Spellshock, Sulfuric Vortex, Painful Quandary, Underworld Dreams, Spiteful Visions, War's Toll, and Price of Glory - that bleed opponents for casting spells, tapping lands, and drawing cards. That damage is then multiplied exponentially by Furnace of Rath, Fiery Emancipation, City on Fire, Twinflame Tyrant, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, and Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might. The deck protects its own fragile life total with Platinum Emperion, Platinum Angel, and Darksteel Angel, letting it run Havoc Festival and heavy self-damage with impunity. Primary wins are Heartless Hidetsugu plus a damage doubler, the end-step reflection of Archfiend of Despair/Wound Reflection, and sheer accumulation of incidental life loss.
