Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius midrange strategy built around The Council of Four. By capitalizing on common multiplayer game actions, it punishes opponents for drawing extra cards and double-spelling by drawing cards and producing 2/2 Knight tokens. The deck accelerates into its commander on Turn 4 via efficient mana rocks, establishing a compounding card-flow engine. It converts high card volume into game-ending pressure through mass anthem effects like Cathars' Crusade, scaling threats like Clinquant Skymage and Proft's Eidetic Memory, and direct life drain through Psychosis Crawler. Defensive interaction, including Force of Will, Swords to Plowshares, and Farewell, keeps opposing combo and aggro strategies in check while the token army builds. Its abundance of card draw ensures resilience against board wipes, enabling rapid rebuilds and consistent late-game inevitability.
