Commander: Syr Konrad, the Grim

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Syr Konrad, the Grim leads a mono-black aristocrats and self-mill strategy that weaponizes every zone change involving creature cards. The deck operates by sacrificing recursive creatures like Gravecrawler and Reassembling Skeleton to draw cards, generate mana, and drain opponents with Blood Artist and Ayara, First of Locthwain. Syr Konrad amplifies this plan by turning mill, death, and graveyard movement into direct damage across the entire table. The primary win condition is resolving Morality Shift or activating Konrad repeatedly to mill dozens of creatures, swiftly burning out all opponents in a single burst. Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Massacre Wurm provide secondary finishers.
