Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu aggro deck focused on Kaalia of the Vast. The primary strategy accelerates Kaalia onto the battlefield on Turn 3 or 4, equips haste, and attacks to bypass the mana costs of game-ending Angels, Demons, and Dragons. Cheated threats like Archfiend of Despair, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, and Valgavoth, Terror Eater rapidly chunk opposing life totals, while Avacyn, Angel of Hope and Sephara, Sky's Blade shield the board from sweepers. The deck maintains control using efficient spot removal like Swords to Plowshares and Deadly Rollick alongside asymmetric creature hate from Archfiend of Depravity and Drana and Linvala. When Kaalia is disrupted, the deck pivots to hardcasting midrange flyers and leveraging graveyard recursion via Reanimate. The deck delivers high combat pressure and closes games across two to three combat cycles.
