Deck overview

This deck is a thematic Dimir midrange build centered around The Mouth of Sauron and the Amass Orcs mechanic. Its primary strategy involves milling opponents or self-milling to maximize the instant and sorcery count in graveyards, fueling a massive Orc Army token on entry. The deck supplements this beatdown plan with Lord of the Rings flavor pieces, Ring-tempting triggers, and light stax attrition from cards like Oppression and Blood Clock. Because the mana base contains only 26 lands and relies predominantly on 3-mana mana rocks, the deck develops at a deliberate pace, typically deploying its commander on Turn 6 and threatening lethal combat on Turn 8. Win conditions focus on single-target combat attacks enhanced by Loxodon Warhammer or Gothmog, Morgul Lieutenant, while backup evasion comes from fliers such as Voracious Fell Beast and Ultimecia, Time Sorceress.
