Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue draw-go control deck that weaponizes card draw on opponents' turns using The Watcher in the Water. By deploying flash draw spells, symmetrical draw engines like Dictate of Kruphix, and repeatable draw artifacts like Temple Bell, the deck creates an army of 1/1 Tentacle tokens while holding up mana for disruption. The Tentacles provide defensive utility through chump blocking, which triggers the commander's stun ability to lock down opposing nonland threats. To convert token generation into victory, the deck leverages asymmetric bounce spells such as Whelming Wave to clear blocker paths, team overruns via Candlekeep Inspiration, and direct group drain through Throne of the God-Pharaoh and Psychosis Crawler. It also features backup win paths including alternate win conditions like Triskaidekaphile and the infinite mana combo of Deadeye Navigator and Peregrine Drake.
