Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis midrange strategy helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord. The game plan revolves around accelerating into Sauron by turn 5, leveraging opponent spell casts to amass a massive Orc Army passively. When an Army connects in combat, the Ring tempts you, triggering Sauron to discard your hand and draw four fresh cards. This card-churning engine fuels the graveyard with high-impact creatures such as Archfiend of Ifnir, Cavern-Hoard Dragon, and Scourge of the Throne, which are subsequently returned using efficient reanimation spells. The deck controls the board through asymmetric attrition, using Archfiend counters and selective board wipes while closing out the game with lethal combat damage.
