Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages Blech, Loafing Pest to convert repeatable lifegain triggers into team-wide +1/+1 counters on Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders. Early turns focus on establishing consistent lifegain engines via landfall creatures like Kazandu Nectarpot and entering triggers from Bogwater Lumaret. Once Blech enters the battlefield on Turn 4, every incremental lifegain trigger rapidly grows the commander and kindred creatures into massive threats. Swarm enablers such as Pest Infestation, Blight Mound, and Arasta of the Endless Web widen the board, while trample and menace granters ensure combat damage pushes through blockers. While the deck possesses explosive mid-game growth, resilient recursion, and substantial life buffers, it operates primarily at sorcery speed and remains vulnerable to mass exile effects and dedicated combo strategies.
