Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Rakdos-treasure Dragon deck built around Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug is the damage-sponge engine: noncombat damage creates Treasures, and because it is indestructible and has haste, it can be repeatedly wounded without dying. The primary plan is to pair Smaug with Pyrohemia and any sacrifice-drain payoff: each activation creates a Treasure that can pay for the next activation while Pyrohemia plus drain effects end the table. Secondary paths are one-shot wipes like Blasphemous Act or Star of Extinction generating 13/20 Treasures, then winning with Revel in Riches, Hellkite Tyrant, or Marionette effects. Dragon beats with Goldspan, Cavern-Hoard, and Smaug tokens provide non-combo pressure. There is no double-faced commander; There and Back Again is the closest hidden backup, but it is not a commander.
