Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir flash tempo and tribal control strategy commanded by Alela, Cunning Conqueror. It seeks to play entirely at instant speed, passing the turn with open mana to react to opposing threats while generating 1/1 flying Faerie Rogue tokens on each opponent's turn. In combat, these evasive Faeries deal chip damage and trigger Alela's goad ability, forcing opponents' largest threats to attack each other rather than your life total. The deck leverages powerful combat draw engines like Enduring Curiosity and Kindred Discovery alongside instant card filtration to maintain a full grip of counterspells and removal. Once a critical mass of flying tokens is established, the deck pivots into win conditions using Shadow Puppeteers to transform the swarm into 4/4 Dragons, Notorious Throng to take an extra turn, or asymmetric wipes like Raise the Palisade to clear the way for lethal combat damage.
