Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Boros Stax Aggro build commanded by Winota, Joiner of Forces. The strategy revolves around deploying cheap, evasive non-Human creatures in the opening turns, followed by casting Winota on Turn 3 or 4 to trigger explosive combat value. Each attacking non-Human digs six cards deep to cheat high-impact Humans onto the battlefield tapped, attacking, and indestructible. The deck breaks parity on a dense suite of Rule of Law and taxing stax pieces—such as Archon of Emeria, Eidolon of Rhetoric, and Drannith Magistrate—because Winota's triggers put creatures directly into play without casting spells. Damage multipliers like Blade Historian and Angrath's Marauders combined with extra combat steps from Combat Celebrant rapidly close out games by Turn 5. Robust protection pieces like Grand Abolisher and Mother of Runes defend the board, while an alternate infinite combo between Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Combat Celebrant provides a compact finish when combat math stalls.
