Deck overview

This deck leverages Obeka, Splitter of Seconds to turn combat damage into multiple consecutive upkeep phases. By granting Obeka evasion through unblockable equipment and auras, each unblocked attack generates 2 or more additional upkeep steps during the postcombat main phase. These extra upkeeps exponentially accelerate powerful continuous triggers: courts drain opponents and produce armies, the Initiative advances through multiple dungeon rooms in a single turn, and card engines like Bonehoard Dracosaur flood the board with resources. The deck operates as an aggressive combat-control hybrid, using efficient Grixis interaction and countermagic to protect Obeka while upkeep triggers dismantle opposing boards and hand sizes. Even without the commander, high-end bombs such as Sphinx of the Second Sun and Twilight Prophet provide robust backup value engines.
