Deck overview

Fire Lord Azula is a grixis tempo-aggro deck that wants to resolve the Avatar commander on turn four, attack in the following combat, and use her copy trigger to double every pump spell. A typical line turns a single Unleash Fury into two doublings (16 damage), then finishes with Temur Battle Rage (double strike) for lethal commander damage. Secondary lines use Tainted Strike for poison, Etali, Primal Storm or the Invocation of the Founders to multiply value, and Zuko/Balmor/Livaan as backup attackers. The deck has heavy selection and cost reduction to assemble its pieces, but it is fragile to instant-speed removal and lacks a robust non-commander plan, making Azula's survival critical.
