Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Rakdos aristocrats engine helmed by Ares, God of War. Ares forces himself to attack each combat but turns combat death into repeatable card advantage by returning any attacking creature that dies back to its owner's hand. The deck maximizes this triggered ability by running suicidal high-power attackers like Ball Lightning, Lightning Skelemental, and Rot-Curse Rakshasa, alongside free sacrifice outlets such as Goblin Bombardment and Ashnod's Altar. By sacrificing creatures while they are still attacking, you trigger Ares to recur them to your hand while simultaneously triggering death payoffs like Blood Artist, Mayhem Devil, and Grave Pact. Supported by dense haste-enablers, treasure generators, and potent burst card draw, the deck establishes an oppressive attrition loop that continually wipes opposing blockers and burns out the table across the midgame.
