The LoRD by ars3nd

Format: Commander

Commander: The Lord of Pain

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Rakdos deck, helmed by The Lord of Pain, is a group-slug burn strategy that punishes opponents for every game action. The commander prevents life gain and deals damage equal to each player's first spell each turn, turning every opponent's play into a weapon. The 99 is packed with symmetrical pain enchantments (Manabarbs, Spellshock, Roiling Vortex, Painful Quandary) and damage multipliers (Fiery Emancipation, City on Fire, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Twinflame Tyrant, Bloodletter of Aclazotz) that accelerate the life-loss clock. Win conditions include incremental bleed from the punisher suite, a massive Blood for the Blood God! or Prisoner's Dilemma finisher, and the commander's own triggered damage amplified by doublers. The deck has no infinite combos; it wins through sustained, unavoidable pressure that grinds the table down over several turns.
