Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Izzet spellslinger storm deck commanded by Vivi Ornitier. Vivi acts as both a win condition and a mid-turn ritual, putting +1/+1 counters on itself, pinging all opponents whenever a noncreature spell is cast, and tapping for mana equal to its power once each turn. The strategy focuses on accelerating on early turns with cost reducers like Stormcatch Mentor and rocks, deploying Vivi on Turn 3, and then sequencing cheap cantrips on Turn 4 to establish power. On Turn 5, the deck launches a lethal storm turn, chaining spells through Archmage Emeritus, Past in Flames, or Wisdom of Ages while doubling triggers with Harmonic Prodigy and Veyran, Voice of Duality. Defensively, the list runs a dense suite of 1-mana counterspells and redirection effects that protect Vivi while simultaneously advancing the storm count.
