Deck overview

This deck utilizes Xyris, the Writhing Storm as an aggressive combat engine that converts single-target pump spells into massive bursts of card advantage and token swarms. The game plan focuses on deploying three-mana land ramp on Turn 3 to cast Xyris on Turn 4. On Turn 5, Xyris attacks and connects with the help of efficient pump spells like Invigorate, Become Immense, or Temur Battle Rage, drawing 7 to 10 cards and generating an equivalent army of 1/1 Snake tokens. Because the list lacks global Overrun effects, it eliminates opponents sequentially over three combat rounds. While the deck holds exceptional card flow and a dense suite of one- and two-mana protection spells to shield Xyris from targeted removal, it remains vulnerable to sweepers that reset the Snake horde. The interactive suite relies primarily on fight and bite spells that require an active board presence to function.
