Queen Marchesa: Sit and make politics by user9461733

Format: Commander

Commander: Queen Marchesa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Queen Marchesa heads a Mardu politics-control deck. The primary plan is to claim the monarchy, goad opponents into attacking each other, and convert that chaos into cards and tempo with draw engines like Breena, Karazikar, and Trouble in Pairs. Assassin tokens and monarch upkeep triggers keep the queen relevant, while Gisela, Blade of Goldnight is the main finisher, doubling damage and turning Duelist's Heritage and Legion Leadership into one-shot kills. Secondary lines use Insurrection to steal a winning board or Ruinous Ultimatum to reset then swing through. The deck has no double-faced commander; modal cards such as Needleverge Pathway and Malakir Rebirth are role-players, not a second commander.
