Deck overview

This Azorius deck uses Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward and Candlekeep Sage to generate overwhelming card advantage, board control, and token armies. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost mana rocks and cantrip permanents such as Spirited Companion and Ichor Wellspring. Casting Candlekeep Sage into Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward immediately exiles these pieces under Abdel, creating a defensive wall of 1/1 Soldier tokens while triggering substantial card draw. Using a deep suite of blink spells like Ephemerate, Displace, and Soulherder, the deck repeatedly flickers Abdel to re-trigger all exiled permanents. This engine quickly digs into game-ending loops featuring Peregrine Drake paired with Archaeomancer or Eldrazi Displacer. Once infinite mana and tokens are generated, the deck bounces or destroys all opposing boards and swings for the win.
