Lathril, Blade of the Elves Part 2 by vbd13

Format: Commander

Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a classic Golgari elf-ball deck helmed by Lathril, Blade of the Elves, built to flood the board with cheap mana dorks, convert them into an overwhelming token army, and close the game through one of several overlapping finishers. The primary plan is explosive ramp into a wide elf board, then either Craterhoof Behemoth for an overrun kill, Shaman of the Pack or Skemfar Shadowsage for a drain finish, or Lathril's own activated ability (tap ten elves to drain each opponent for 10). The most deterministic line is the Staff of Domination + big-mana-dork infinite combo, which draws the deck and enables a Craterhoof kill. The deck is fast, redundant, and heavily creature-centric, with a modest protection suite and a handful of tutors to assemble its combo finish.
