Deck overview

This is a Grixis board-wipe reanimator list helmed by Sauron, Lord of the Rings. The plan is attrition-first: repeatedly clear the battlefield with efficient and overloaded wipes, stuff the graveyard via loot, surveil, and mill, then restock with premium reanimation while an Amass army and oversized bodies close through combat. Sauron, Lord of the Rings is an expensive but high-impact cast-Amass Orcs 5, mill five, and immediately return a creature-so he functions as a one-shot value spike and a 9/9 trampler rather than a continuous engine. Secondary axes include token pressure from Saruman, the White Hand and saga/amass payoffs, theft and control swings (Hostage Taker, Subjugate the Hobbits, Shadow of the Enemy), and a single extra-combat closer in Scourge of the Throne. There are no infinite combo lines; the deck wins by out-attritioning the table and finishing with evasive, hasty combat.
