Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Izzet Spellslinger Storm Combo list commanded by Vivi Ornitier. The game plan revolves around casting a high volume of low-cost noncreature spells to rapidly grow Vivi, drain all opponents through repeated burn triggers, and generate substantial mana with Vivi's zero-cost activated ability. The deck leverages dense fast mana, efficient cantrips, and potent card-draw engines like Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, and Archmage Emeritus to churn through its library. It closes games decisively using infinite cast loops with Isochron Scepter and Dramatic Reversal, or graveyard recursion via Underworld Breach, dealing lethal damage across the table in a single turn. Backed by format-defining free countermagic such as Fierce Guardianship and Force of Will, along with board control from Sigil of Sleep, the deck protects its combo turns efficiently while disrupting opposing win attempts. High card velocity and redundant pingers ensure consistent execution and rapid recovery from disruption.
