Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet forced-combat and group-slug strategy led by Red Death, Shipwrecker. It uses cheap untap enablers to activate Red Death multiple times per round, accelerating your mana while goading key threats and feeding opponents extra cards. As opponents' hands fill, punishing permanents like Iron Maiden, Razorkin Needlehead, and Scrawling Crawler convert those cards into steady life loss. Mass-goad spells and combat amplifiers like Disrupt Decorum, Death Kiss, and Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos force opponents to turn their boards against one another. Defensively, the deck leverages Propaganda, low-cost counterspells, and redirection spells to keep you safe while opponents whittle each other down, closing out the late game with Insurrection or inescapable draw damage.
