Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Dimir tempo build focused on Satoru Umezawa's universal ninjutsu ability. The strategy revolves around landing cheap, unblockable 1-mana creatures during the opening turns, casting Satoru on Turn 3, and using Turn 4 combat to cheat colossal game-ending threats into play for just four mana ({2}{U}{B}). Because ninjutsu is an activated ability that occurs after blockers are declared, it slips past conventional countermagic and creature defenses. The deck quickly buries the table under card advantage and attrition using bombs like Archon of Cruelty, Ancient Silver Dragon, and Agent of Treachery. Strong free interaction such as Fierce Guardianship, Force of Negation, and Deadly Rollick safeguards the commander, while an asymmetric Nether Void lock and a High Tide plus Palinchron infinite mana loop provide potent alternative win paths.
