Deck overview

Codie, Vociferous Codex commands a top-tier cEDH Turbo Ad Nauseam deck designed to win the game on Turn 2 or 3. The strategy exploits Codie's activated ability by running Profane Tutor as the only instant or sorcery with mana value less than 1. Activating Codie and casting any 1-mana spell guarantees a cascade into Profane Tutor, which immediately fetches and casts Ad Nauseam or Bring to Light. Drawing a massive hand of rituals and 0-mana rocks fuels the finish: you sacrifice Codie with spells like Culling the Weak or Burnt Offering to remove its permanent-casting restriction, then resolve Thassa's Oracle with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact for a same-turn victory. Backed by free counterspells like Force of Will and silence effects like Silence and Veil of Summer, the deck combines extreme speed with robust stack protection.
