Deck overview

Mono-black aristocrats attrition deck helmed by Braids, Arisen Nightmare. The core loop is simple: sacrifice a disposable permanent at each end step-tokens from Dreadhorde Invasion and Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, artifact bodies like Nimblewright Schematic and Prized Statue, or recursive skeletons like Reassembling Skeleton-to force opponents into a bad choice: sacrifice a permanent of the same type, or lose 2 life and let you draw. Around that engine, Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Ayara, First of Locthwain, and Syr Konrad, the Grim convert every death into table-wide damage, while edict creatures and Massacre Girl keep opposing boards thin. There are no infinite combos; games end through repeated Gray Merchant of Asphodel drains, a burst Syr Konrad, the Grim turn fueled by Songs of the Damned, or long, grinding attrition against 120 life.
