Deck overview

This mono-black deck is led by Khan, Vengeful Heart, functioning as a casual synergy build centered on sacrifice value, Borg artifact creatures, and incidental dilemma and tribal subthemes. The deck seeks to establish early board presence with cheap utility creatures and artifacts such as Tenacious Drone and Collation Trimatrix, using the commander on Turn 4 to convert sacrificial fodder into a burst of two cards. As the game transitions into the mid-to-late stages, it relies on larger threats like Borg Queen, Perfection Manifest, Bio-Asset Allocator, and Gul Dukat, Colonial Prefect to scale up damage across the table. With virtually no dedicated mana acceleration or fast mana, the deck operates entirely at natural land-drop speed, giving opponents ample opportunity to interact. While its interactive suite effectively handles individual threats via spells like Toxic Deluge and Bitter Triumph, the lack of stack protection and reliance on combat damage leaves its clock slow and vulnerable.
