Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis typal strategy centered on Loki, the Deceiver. It leverages an aggressive curve of iconic Marvel Villains to generate continuous card advantage and overwhelming combat pressure. Early turns establish mana velocity with fast artifacts and low-cost creatures that filter through cards via the connive mechanic. Once assembled on turn 4, Loki attacks to clone key utility and payoff Villains such as Doctor Doom, The Squadron Sinister, and Mysterio, Master of Illusion. The deck protects this engine using top-tier free counterspells and targeted removal, including Deflecting Swat, Fierce Guardianship, and Deadly Rollick. By employing token retention tools like The Master, Multiplied, Sundial of the Infinite, and Obeka, Brute Chronologist, the deck bypasses end-step sacrifice triggers to build an insurmountable army that closes the game by turn 7 through decisive combat damage.
