Deck overview

This Abzan deck unites Cats and Zombies under Olag and Miau, New Friends. The game plan balances proactive creature swarms with steady aristocrats-style life drain. Early turns deploy cheap tribal creatures that curve into the commander on Turn 3. Midgame token generators like Arahbo, the First Fang, Brimaz, King of Oreskos, and Gisa, the Hellraiser trigger cross-tribal +1/+1 counters, creating substantial combat pressure while tapping creatures to drain opponents at each end step. Mass pump effects such as Overwhelming Stampede and Bast, Panther Goddess allow the deck to push through lethal combat damage by Turn 7. The mana base of 40 lands ensures steady land drops, supported by mana converters like Cryptolith Rite and Elven Chorus. While the list features resilient recursion and ward protection, its reliance on a wide creature board leaves it vulnerable to non-destroy board wipes.
