Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari midrange and control deck centered on Shelob, Child of Ungoliant and Spider tribal synergies. The game plan focuses on ramping during the early turns with spells like Farseek and Cultivate, deploying utility Spiders, and casting Shelob by Turn 5. Once Shelob is on the battlefield, all Spiders gain deathtouch and ward {2}, turning fight spells and pinger equipment like Viridian Longbow and Thornbite Staff into lethal creature removal that steals destroyed creatures as Food tokens. The deck translates this creature suppression into victory through relentless combat attacks, poison counters from Fynn, the Fangbearer, mass drain via Rotwidow Pack and Ishkanah, Grafwidow, or an overrun with Night of the Sweets' Revenge. While the deck dominates creature-based matchups and grinds immense value, it is vulnerable to non-creature strategies and mass exile sweepers due to its lack of stack interaction.
