Darkness Binds Them by TLorDie

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, Lord of the Rings

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Grixis Sauron is a midrange amass/reanimator deck. Its primary plan is to ramp to six mana, cast Sauron, create a 5/5 Army, mill five, and reanimate a key creature, then close with trample/haste beats. The secondary path is a spell-heavy package: Summons of Saruman, Fiery Inscription, Guttersnipe, and Lord of the Nazgul grow the Army, make Wraith tokens, and drain life. Living Death, Reanimate, Extract from Darkness, and Too Greedily, Too Deep are mass-recursion finishers. There is no true hidden commander; Saruman, the White Hand is a powerful role player, not the deck's genesis. Sauron is the engine, the biggest creature, and the reason the deck can rebuild after wipes.
