Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages Karai, Future of the Foot to combine low-cost evasive attackers with explosive combat-step reanimation. The primary strategy opens on Turns 1–2 with unblockable creatures such as Changeling Outcast and Tormented Soul alongside self-mill and landcycling enablers like Angel of the Ruins, Troll of Khazad-dûm, and Ripples of Undeath. On Turn 4, an unblocked creature attacks, allowing Karai to cast for her Sneak cost of {2}{W}{B}. When Karai connects for combat damage, she immediately cheats a high-impact threat like Shredder, Shadow Master, Ancient Stone Idol, or Armaggon, Future Shark from the graveyard directly onto the battlefield. Subsequent turns compound this advantage as Shredder creates attacking copies against all opponents or secondary reanimation spells like Victimize widen the board. The deck features strong low-cost removal and decent recovery, though it remains exposed to well-timed instant-speed creature removal and graveyard hate before combat damage resolves.
