Deck overview

Urza, Lord High Artificer commands an oppressive mono-blue artifact shell combining asymmetric stax locks with compact combo finishes. Urza's static ability turns every artifact into a Mox Sapphire, generating immense mana velocity that accelerates deployment and enables parity-breaking prison pieces like Winter Orb, Static Orb, and Trinisphere. By tapping these lock artifacts before the controller's untap step, the deck paralyzes opponents' mana while maintaining full untaps and development. The primary win condition is the Isochron Scepter and Dramatic Reversal infinite mana combo, which allows Urza to exile and cast the entire library into an immediate Aetherflux Reservoir table kill. Secondary routes include Mystic Forge and Sensei's Divining Top card loops, Cyberdrive Awakener flying overruns, and combat pressure from Blightsteel Colossus and massive Construct tokens. Backed by free countermagic like Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship, the deck delivers high-pressure stax control and decisive sudden finishes.
