Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Zombie tribal and aristocrats engine commanded by Ayara, First of Locthwain. The strategy focuses on establishing early board presence with low-cost Zombies and token producers, turning every creature entry into incremental life drain and using Ayara as a repeatable sacrifice outlet for steady card advantage. In the midgame, tribal lords like Death Baron, Undead Warchief, and Lord of the Undead augment the board while engines such as Diregraf Colossus and Endless Ranks of the Dead rapidly compound board presence. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through wide combat attacks backed by menace or deathtouch, lethal devotion drains from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and aristocrat triggers from Vengeful Dead. While resilient to single-target removal thanks to graveyard recursion and death-draw triggers, the deck lacks countermagic and artifact interaction, remaining vulnerable to exile-based sweepers.
