Umbris by SassSerenity94

Format: Commander

Commander: Umbris, Fear Manifest

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Umbris is an exile/mill engine and a growing threat. The deck pairs every Nightmare/Horror ETB with exile-until-land triggers, using Dauthi Voidwalker, Leyline of the Void, and Ashiok effects to keep opponent cards in exile rather than graveyards. Captain N'ghathrod gives Horrors menace and converts combat damage into mill, while theft effects like Gonti, Lord of Luxury, Brainstealer Dragon, and Arvinox, the Mind Flail turn the exiled cards into playable resources. Secondary lines include Duskmantle Guildmage plus Mindcrank or kicked Maddening Cacophony for a mass-mill drain kill, and reanimation via Breach the Multiverse and Ever After. There is no hidden commander; Umbris is the only build-around. The deck is a slow value build that finishes through commander damage or a compact mill/lifeloss combo.
