New Untitled Deck by Brandon12

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Rakdos deck uses Smaug the Impenetrable (7 mana 8/7 flying, indestructible, haste) as a damage-to-Treasure engine: any noncombat damage dealt to Smaug creates that many Treasures. The primary plan is to ramp with rocks and rituals, cast Smaug on turn 4-5, then ping him with Lightning Bolt, Shock, Burst Lightning, Chain Lightning and Blasphemous Act to generate 5-15 Treasures, doubled by Xorn and Goldspan Dragon. Those Treasures fuel a storm turn with Storm-Kiln Artist and Mica, Reader of Ruins copying spells into Crackle with Power, Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate. Secondary wins come from dragon combat with Ancient Copper Dragon, Goldspan Dragon and Stormscale Scion storm copies, plus Mayhem Devil and Marionette Apprentice pings.
