Deck overview

This mono-green stompy deck harnesses undercosted, high-power creatures to rapidly reduce the casting cost of Ghalta, Primal Hunger. By deploying early beaters such as Pugnacious Hammerskull, Steel Leaf Champion, and Gigantosaurus, the deck regularly casts a 12/12 trample commander for just {G}{G} as early as turn 4. Once assembled, the deck sustains high momentum using power-4 card draw engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise. Combat overruns such as Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth turn massive power into decisive table eliminations. The deck boasts strong engine recovery and independence because its standard threats hit hard on their own, and Tangleweave Armor creates an immediate 12/12 threat by reading Ghalta's 12 mana value from the command zone. Its primary limitations are a lack of stack interaction, reliance on combat steps, and vulnerability to repeated board wipes.
