Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger and combo strategy commanded by Vivi Ornitier. Vivi serves as both an escalating burn engine and a potent mana generator: every noncreature spell casts puts a +1/+1 counter on her, pings each opponent for 1 damage, and inflates her {0} mana activation. The deck leverages this burst mana to power large X-draw spells like Blue Sun's Zenith and Commander's Insight, digging swiftly into win conditions. Key finishers include two-card infinite mana engines such as Deadeye Navigator paired with Peregrine Drake or Great Whale, as well as Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker combined with Intruder Alarm for infinite hasty token copies. The mana is then channeled into lethal multi-target burn spells like Jaya's Immolating Inferno and Volcanic Geyser. While explosive, the deck runs a lean 28-land configuration that demands careful mulligans to ensure early development.
