Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir midrange strategy that pairs spellslinger control with Wraith tribal combat. Commanded by Lord of the Nazgûl, the deck converts every instant and sorcery into 3/3 menace Wraith tokens while using nine copies of Nazgûl and Ring-tempting triggers to place +1/+1 counters on the entire army. The early turns focus on developing mana through rocks and landing early Nazgûl to build deathtouch deterrence. Once the commander is established around turn 5, cheap interaction and card selection fuel a wide token board. The deck turns the corner on turn 7 by casting one-sided sweepers like Raise the Palisade or Kindred Dominance to wipe opposing boards and swing for lethal menace damage, closing the game on turn 8. As alternate paths, it leverages huge black mana from Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast to cast a game-ending Torment of Hailfire or a mass Living Death.
