Deck overview

This deck is a Bant toughness-matters aggressive deck built around Arcades, the Strategist. The core strategy deploys low-cost, high-toughness defender creatures during the opening turns. When Arcades enters on Turn 4, it immediately turns these inexpensive blockers into massive combat threats while drawing a card for each defender that enters the battlefield. The deck breaks parity on combat and board presence using asymmetric sweepers like Slaughter the Strong and The Battle of Bywater, which destroy high-power opposing creatures while leaving the defender army untouched. Combat buffs such as Tower Defense and unblockable enablers like Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive accelerate the clock to eliminate opponents by Turn 7. As a resilient backup route, the deck incorporates an infinite mana loop using Axebane Guardian with Freed from the Real or Pemmin's Aura, funneling arbitrary mana into Walking Ballista or Staff of Domination to secure an instant victory.
