Deck overview

This Temur deck leverages Illuna, Apex of Wishes to cheat massive permanents into play by mutating onto inexpensive, resilient creatures. The core strategy revolves around establishing early non-Human creatures with native hexproof, such as Slippery Bogle and Gladecover Scout, then accelerating mana to cast Illuna for its mutate cost on Turn 4 or 5. Resolving Illuna triggers an exile cascade that drops formidable threats like Omniscience, Etali, Primal Storm, or Auspicious Starrix directly onto the battlefield. Subsequent mutate triggers compound value, drawing cards, destroying opposing artifacts and enchantments with Gemrazer, and creating large trampling threats. Supported by protection pieces like Heroic Intervention and Asceticism, the deck builds an insurmountable combat presence to overwhelm the table in successive attack waves.
